The Kensora Alliance

Mental health is a human right.

Not a privilege. Not a luxury. Not something a person has to earn, prove, or afford. A right belongs to everyone, everywhere, by virtue of being human.

Why now

The knowledge and the care to help people already exist. What is missing, for far too many, is access to it.

We believe closing that gap is not charity. It is a matter of basic human dignity, and it is worth organizing for.

What we believe

Four beliefs we advocate for.

These are values, not clinical or partisan claims. Read how we think about each on our positions page.

1

Mental health as a right

Care for the mind belongs alongside care for the body, within reach for everyone, not reserved for those who can pay or wait.

2

Rest and attention, protected

Sleep and a person's own attention are human needs worth defending. People deserve to protect their rest and reclaim their focus.

3

Honest and safe health technology

When technology touches mental health, it should be honest about what it can and cannot do, built with care, and never oversell.

4

The dignity of every life

Every human life has worth. We advocate for a world that treats each person, in every state of mind, with dignity.

Honest about where we are

  • The movement starts now. The Kensora Alliance is a planned 501(c)(4) advocacy organization in formation. We are gathering people around these ideas today, before the paperwork is complete.
  • Not yet a legal entity. We do not claim 501(c)(4) status, and if we ever ask for support, we will say plainly that contributions to a 501(c)(4) are not tax-deductible.
  • A distinct organization. The Alliance shares the Kensora name and mission but is organizationally and legally separate from Kensora, the for-profit app, and from the planned Kensora Institute, a 501(c)(3) also in formation.
  • Advocacy, not a service. We advance ideas and values. The Alliance is not a crisis or emergency service. In the US, call or text 988. Elsewhere, use your local emergency number.
  • Learn more. Read more about who we are and how we work on our FAQ page.
